The Best of the Week In... Covers (11/18/09)

On Nov 19, 2009 12:54 PM

Not bad picks, I do like the Nomad cover. But I have a few more suggestions: Amazing Spider-Man #612 had a great cover by Djurdjevic. Love the idea of Electro in the eye of Spider-Man's costume and the lightening hitting the Empire State Building. Batman the Unseen #4 had another amazing cover by Kelley Jones. I know he isn't a fan by much of the ifanbase, but I love his style. When I imagin...

Ten Implausible Things About Already Implausible Concepts

On Nov 19, 2009 9:00 AM

I'm still confused on the Spider-Man 3 question. I still cry about it at night: "Why!? Why is Parker dancing and singing at this club!? WHYYYYYY!!!???" Maybe I'm just thinking of the film, but in the recent Hulk movie they did explain it was elastic pants. On Nov 19, 2009 3:06 AM

I'm shocked this was pick, only because I've heard nothing but iffy thing about this all around the web. But I'm on trade waiting so I have no real opinion on the matter. Although hearing that Jay Garrick had a badass moment makes me excited for the trade. Still great review as always conor. Pick was Azrael #2, although I got to admit it was a sloooow week for me. Nicieza is adding a good rog...

I've been a fan of Kindt's art ever since I saw it on Strange Tales #2. Now I also have to rob a place in order to afford these great books. I mean just looking at the images you provided, they are so beautiful to look at! Great article.

Reprint: iFanboy - Episode #68: Morrison Spotlight: A look at the career of comic book writer Grant Morrison

On Nov 18, 2009 3:00 AM

Even a medicore story by Morrison is worth reading. At least that was the thought in my head with the recent Batman and Robin arc. Everything he does feels like a breath of fresh air compared to other comics. Even some of the bigger name writers, in my opinion, don't hold a candle to the man. I am looking forward to the continuing adventure of Batman and Robin. Also, the new event called Mult...

First Look: Hawkman on SMALLVILLE

On Nov 17, 2009 9:00 AM

That actually looks cool. Almost dead on from what he looks like in the costumes. I'll reserve judgement fully though until I see the episode. It would be funny to see the wires on tv though.
