This is a joke right? Sam Kieth didn’t actually write this did he? I know he’s an artist first and a writer second but…..Good lord this couldn’t have been written by any type of professional. The story ends with a death and I’m laughing at it. It’s morbid I know, but the way Kieth creates and addresses a death here might be the worst thing I’ve read in comics this year. It’s like Kieth had an interesting idea to play with the idea of guns and Batman. Then he turned into a little kid and decided to add in a bad romance that went no where for three straight issues.

If you want this comic I’d totally recommend it for JUST the Art. Don’t get it for the story, in fact use a white out to take away Kieth’s story and make your own. His artwork alone is more then enough reason to justify this as a purchase. Kieth is definitely one of the greatest artists DC has right now and I’ve been preaching it for four issues. Seriously though if it wasn’t for the brilliant art I would probably say this is the ‘worst single issue’ of a comic this year. At least in terms of writing.

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 5 - Excellent
