Has another two months passed since last issue? Boy if anything this series proves that time goes by way to quick in life. S other then proving that my life is sad and going to fast, this has been a fun read for eight months. I still have no idea where this series is gonna go, but I’m having fun reading it.

Other then the shocking revelation, that and how confusing it is, this had a good amount of characterization involved. I like it we go back to Howard Stark and Nathaniel Richards in this and we see their motivations and just how royaly screwed they are. I think Hickman gets a bad rap for the crazy ideas he brings out. While this series is cock full of crazy ideas, it does bring a lot of great characterizations and backstory with each character. Also, Hickman is just the master of leaving the reader wanting more. I won’t say what the reveal is, but god damn it makes me want to read the next issue and see exactly what the hell this man is doing here.

Again, while the pace of this series is slow (and so is the release schedule), it’s all worth it for the Weaver art. God just look at some of those pages and marvel at the detail. That two page spread of Richards/Stark looking at the temples in the jungle before them is really fantastic stuff. It’s a win-win situation every single time you turn a page in this title.

So by the time we get the sixth issue, which should be the last of the first arc, it will be Feburary. Once again I will be wondering just where all the time went between issues. But then I’ll open up to the first page and be reminded that time doesn’t matter here. As long as great issues like this keep coming out from Jonathan Hickman and Dustin Weaver, then time isn’t a factor
