This is an issue I have been really really looking forward too, but also dreading at the same time. Chaos War has been a really fun and entertaining mini-event and has also brought the entire Incredible Hercules run to this moment. Having said that, bringing all of these stories to one event has also indicated this will be the last Incredible Hercules story by Pak and Van Lente. Bummer.

It has been a while since the last issue, so I admit that I was a bit lost in the beginning of this. It also doesn’t help that it seems like the various tie-in mini-series with their characters are integral for some of the moments in here. Having said that, it did get easier to put all the peices together and enjoy what was on the page. There was a lot of fighting, scientific mumbo-jumbo (from Cho), and lots of silliness going on here. In the end though this issue had a lot of heart going for it, especially with the relationship between Amadeus Cho and Hercules. If anything, their friendship has been the cruch of this entire run so it’s nice to see some conclusion to it.

More incredible art by Khoi Pahm in this. Even with two inkers involved this looks consistantly great each page with a crap load of detail in each page. I mean you get to the two page spread of a giant Hercules and Chaos King between the Earth and it literally takes your breath away. The scope of this event has been very large so when you see that spread, or a super computer, or various pages with Galactus; you can feel just how big these characters or items are. Also just some great coloring by Sunny Gho with very bright colors with a dominate orange hue throughout the pages.

It’s such a shame to see this run end. But it ended in an ‘Incredible’ way with a very entertaining mini event with some gorgeous art to boot. This final issue just signifies it all with some ‘A’ material by Pak, Van Lente, and Pham. Just a shame that it had to e……hey what did that final page say? “NEW ONGOING….PAK & VAN LENTE……APRIL 2010′!?

Woo-Hoo!!! It isn’t over!!

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
