Two huge thoughts come from reading this issue:
1) Is Mastermind turning evil?
2) What needs to be done for Abnett and Lanning to do Fantastic Four?
The first question has been huge for me lately, considering how this Nova corps have been forming. I was so worried one of the best sidekicks around was going to turn evil once he got his power back. But I think writing wise, AnL are making Mastermind a stern leader while still making us unsure whether he's turned or not. Not to say in this issue he's causing problems for Earth or anything; but I just hope in the end Mastermind is revealed as a villain in any shape or formed.
The second question is just something I want to happen. This issue had the FF because of Ego the Living Planet (didnt even know he was an FF villain) being the new HQ for the Nova Corps. I know Millar is still doing his run on FF; but if there is the replacement hasnt been annouced yet, I vote for Abnett and Lanning.
This was my POTW overall because I am just loving this story. We're getting so much stuff jammed into this arc that it hasnt felt like it's overcrowding anything. AnL write a great family drama with Richard and his brother; a great space story with Mastermind and the Corps, and a great personal look into Richard. Is Richard going insane or is he just thinking two steps ahead of everyone else? We wont know yet because, of course, Richard lost his powers! You know it's a sad day when your at your parents house, naked, and saying 'You took it all away!' I remember that happening to me last year......
.....Anyways from page one and on this was nothing but fun for me. I cant wait to see where this story is gonna go before War of Kings. More importantly, let's get that thought out of my head about me from last year.

You mean the Worldmind, right? I also wonder whether he has had serious damage that has changed his moral compass (if I may borrow a term from JSA and apply it to a collective intelligence).
BTW, I am not sure that A&L should be doing FF. I think that Millar has been doing a consistently great job on that book.
@coltrane: Thanks for the correction, I’m mixing my DC with Marvel. But I’m talking about AnL do FF after Millar leaves the book. Millar is doing a great job right now and I dont want him to leave yet.
But you leave with one great writer and then get two more great one’s…it’s win win for FF.
Well said. I just don’t want to see AnL get distracted (they do have the X-Men/cosmic crossover coming), and I am really enjoying Millar’s take on FF.
