Good but not great, seems to be the motto for this series lately.

Gillen is doing a soild job as always on this title. But ever since Seige came into play, he’s had to tone done the awesomeness for a bit. A lot of stuff to juggle which is amazing considering the titled character isn’t on board. Gillen, however, is doing great work with Volstagg and Kelda. The moment with Loki though seemed a bit lacking. Yes I know he is the Trickester but still…..his ‘revealing’ moment should be more then just the obvious.

Art keeps getting better it seems with Tan and Elson. Almost to a point now where I am actually forgetting there are two here. Nothing really to stand out with this issue however. Although, once again, Tan can do really great lighting effects when need be.

Gillen and Elson (guess Tan is out for now) gets a couple more issues to play with this series. All good news for me. This title might’ve lost some of its luster a few months back. However, Gillen has brought this series from an ‘A’ title series to a respectible ‘B-‘. Solid issues, month in and month out, can do that sometimes.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
