I’m gonna miss these two. I mean Tomasi is going to Emerald Warriors but…..this feels like something that shouldn’t happen. Don’t get me wrong, there has been some low points with this series. Gleason certainly wasn’t always the best at this in the beginning days with me. I’ve stuck with this series for a long time, a long time, and to see this series grow from:

Mid-title to legitamite ‘A’ contender is quite remarkable.

This was a nice send off for Tomasi and Gleason. The latter providing some of his best work here. The stuff with Kilowag was amazing and so was tribute scene in the beginning. That huge tree and the leaves indicating all the dead lanterns….what a brilliant idea turned beautifully by Gleason’s work. Then you have Tomasi just tying up any loose ends and giving us more to play with. Bedard has a lot to handle when he starts next issue.

Basically anything Conor also put on his POTW review is dead on. Sure it can be a bit of exposition sometimes. But I don’t care. This was a fun read and I am going to miss these two teaming up so much. That last page with Guy and Kyle pretty much says it all.

Story: 5 - Excellent

  1. Spot on review! I felt the same way about Gleason at first but he has really grown as an artist on this title. I was very surprised.  I hope that Tomasi does an equally good job on the third GL ongoing.
