The front of this this title has a phrase that is apt for my thoughts on this series:

“Enough is Enough!”

Why yes Peter Tomasi, or cover artist Andy Kubert, or whoever decided to put that on the comic. I have had enough with this series and I’ll tell you why:

It’s boring, it’s predictable, and it reads like a Michael Bay comic. This is not the Peter Tomasi of previous Green Lantern Corps issues I grew to love. This is some whole other thing that I really have a hard time trying to care writing a review for. There is just too many things wrong with this series to count but let me say some of the most egregious. Martin Manhunter still being a lazy Dues Ex Machina; the writing coming off from the script of Top Gun, the fact that we get the origin story of these creators TWICE and their still not interesting.

Those are just some of the problems with this series that makes me realize I don’t care if I never read another issue again. I feel bad saying that because there could be something good here. Guy Gardner and John Stewart are great characters but it’s clear Tomasi wants to writer anything BUT them in this series. The art by Pasarin is okay, but it’s not enough for me dropping the first new DCU book since the #1’s started flying.
