I don’t know if Way is just bullshitting with us or he really is making Deadpool a smart character. What I mean is that, for the last eighteen issues he has made Wilson a quick thinker in this. Somehow he always is one step ahead of everyone else and considering he was a quicker then Cyclops int his…..That must say something about the X-Men and how they are run.

This ends the ‘Want You To Want Me’ arc and it’s sad to say that Deadpool’s membership as an X-Man has ended. Well it never really even started but still, sad to see this story ending. Way just continues to deliver a funny comic issue after issue and he really has nailed how to write the character. Unlike Victor Gischler, Mike Benson, and a few others; who feel that just doing pop culture jokes it all you need to do. He also does some great bits with Wolverine and Colossus in this; especially where Logan would rather go to the grave making sure no one knew a chicken slowed him down. We get some obligatory Norman Osborn panels in this, but considering he’s been a thorn to Deadpool for almost two years now, I’ll let it slide.

One thing to note about Paco Medina, what a gorgeous two page spread in this! I didn’t think he could do that detailed look into the city of San Francisco but here it is in the opening pages. Probably some of the strongest work by Medina on this title. Sure I’ve given him praise every review and a 5/5 all the time. But this is a very strong outing by him and that should be noted.

So with the X-Men out of the way I guess we’re going to have to find someone new for Wilson to play with. I guess Joe Kelly wasn’t kidding about a rematch with Spider-Man a couple of weeks ago….
