It’s rare for a comic cover to promise exactly what happens in the issue. But here, for once, the cover pretty much explains what happens: Hulk indeed smashes things. Deadpool wants to kill himself and now he’s able to piss off the Incredible Hulk enough to possibly do the deed. But as we know from previous issues in this series, it takes a lot to kill Deadpool just for a few minutes. How twisted can this story get?

Well it’s not ‘twisted’ per say, but I liked the untold destruction that occurred. Once in a while I just love reading an issue where it’s just nothing but fighting and this issue was that issue. Deadpool gets his ass kicked in the desert, in the city, and in a construction zone. I like the construction zone the most because it had the best sight gags. Like Deadpool making his ‘Last Will and Testament’ and using Hulk as a wrecking ball. This obviously isn’t as amazing as the ‘Bullseye’ arc from before, but it’s what reminds me of the most when reading this particular issue. I also loved the final page of this because it got me surprised on where this story is gonna go, plus it was a good reveal.

Bong Dazo is a pretty damn good artist despite the ridiculous name. It has a weird cartoony style, but it has a weird style to it. I especially loved the two page splash of Deadpool flying through the panels after Hulk punched his lights out. Ironically his human characters aren’t the best looking things to view. But his take on Hulk and Deadpool are good enough this time not to really notice.

This is the arc that this title needed. After a few issues of boring me to tears, this arc brings the fun back to a Deadpool title. Hulk vs Deadpool has a lot of history and Daniel Way is giving us a pretty damn entertaining fight here. Along with Bong Dazo this is a very good looking book to read as well. Considering how this issue ends with a pretty sweet cliffhanger I can’t wait to see how Deadpool is going to find time to balancing saving people but also killing himself at the same time.
