There is so many things to love about this comic that instead of boring you on the specifics, I’d rather list them to you.

1) Mark Waid does a ‘grim’ Daredevil story but with making the underlining theme of hope in it, it isn’t groan worthy to read it.

2) The way Mark Waid can make anything interesting. From Daredevil not sure on what to do with his new item, or why being in the snow is one of the worst things to be in being blind.

3) Paolo Rivera.

4) Paolo Rivera doing snow effects

5) Paolo Rivera doing the heartbeat effects. Seriously, the one panel of all the kids and their heartbeats was gorgeous for being so simple.

6) Javier Rodriguez colors.

7) “I’m Not Daredevil” sweater. (I want one of those)

8) The ending that sure will lead to some big mindfucks in the near future. (Patent Mark Waid)

9) Paolo Rivera. (worth mentioning again)

10) Another perfect example at why this is not only the best title Marvel is publishing right now, but quite possibly one of the best comics published period. (I still think Chew is slightly ahead but man this book is making it hard to think otherwise)

With a week involving 2 Batman books, a Thunderbolts issue, and solid DCnu books in general; it was still a no brainier on what my POTW was.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. So many little things about this book that add up to a great package. Foggy looking sad in his hat at the party. The panel after the kid asks about the bus driver where there’s the silhouette of DD with the heartbeat spiking. This comic is so good, it’s almost unfair to other comics.
