Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls! Let’s all introduce from Abbey Square:

THE NOVA CORPS!!!!

For a man like me who is not huge in the backstory of Nova, this was a fun issue for me. Dont get me wrong, I love this Nova title and all the stories it has had so far. But I was so worried that they we’re going to hamper us with the return of the Nova Corps and maybe backstory of the Corps….This could’ve easily have been a huge clusterfuck if another writer(s) was on this title.

But Abbnett and Lanning produces yet another fun and exciting issue of what could be the best cosmic story out there. I think why I like these two guys is not for the huge space stories (that’s why they got hired anyways) but for their look into family life. This issue focused on more of Richard’s brother and instead of being drawn out and boring, A&L make sure to give a nice personality to this guy. Maybe it’s the extreme 90’s guy in me, but Darkhawk is quickly becoming a favorite for me. The art, as usual, does not disappoint and the way Alves handles the panel layout for the quickest fight in history is asmusing.

If it wasnt for DC’s Green Lantern series, this would totally be labelled as the best cosmic comic out today. But why should a major critic/company tell you it’s the best out there? Truth be told I have more fun with this title then Green Lantern. No offense to Geoff Johns, but I definitely feel more excitment with this title when there isnt a huge event in the way. Definitely pick this up, it’s one of the more exciting and adventurous comic you will read.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
