Ah Nova, you never cease to amaze me. Whether it’s your twists and turns in an issue, to just a charming chat with your family. You make any situation entertaining in it’s own right, and you make me wanna buy more issues after reading the last page.

I was curious to see how we would go from ‘Being Ambushed by Skrulls’ to ‘Going to Project PEGASUS’ with Rider in this issue. But damn I loved that reveal of the Super Skrull helping out Rider when he needed some help on his own. Makes me wanna see what happenend to him in She-Hulk….well maybe not. The conversation with his family, echoed from the previous issue of Civil War, was also done well. Abnett and Lanning can do a real go job making stories without the help of sci-fi tales. It makes me wanna see what they can do on a normal comic and not this of GOTG. Also, I dont know who the hell Darkhawk is, kinda looks like the product of the 90’s, but I like his outfit…Shame he’s just another tough guy who doesnt listen very well.

This issue, as with the previous 16, is great all around. The story is intriguing, and always leave you with a cliffhanger. The art is so fantastic, Alves should be up for awards with this kind of work. Overall, this is a fun series and it pains me to see it’s not getting as much pulls as it should. Yes it’s in the top 12 this week at Ifanboy, but it should be in the top 3 for what it gives you in quality every issue.

  1. A cliffhanger, Mr. NextChampion? How about the cliffhanger of the month? *u*s*r (don’t want to give it away for those who haven’t read the issue yet) is one of my favorite characters. I used to read that book religiously in the early ’90’s.

A prediction – *u*s*r isn’t really back. He’s just the physical manifestation of the Worldmind. Either way, I am really starting to like this book even more. I missed a few issues in the last year, and I am going to have to go back and catch the trades.
