After the gorgeous issue of Amazing Spider-Man last week, we have the finale of this two-part crossover with Daredevil and Spider-Man. If there’s one thing I can safely say about this issue is that Matt Murdock is what we would call a ‘pimp’. No he’s not running a prostitute ring (although that could be Marvel’s next event in 2013) but man does he have the way with the ladies. I’m surprised it took this long to see Murdock hook up with someone since this new era began.

With Daredevil being the focus of this conclusion, mercifully Mark Waid tones Spidey down a lot. He makes a few quips, some which are actually funny, and he’s more of a background player while Daredevil and Black Cat get it on. This relationship did seem to come from no where until you see just why Felicia is so interested in him. Even with the lackluster announcement of the Punisher/Spider-Man crossover event coming to this title Mark Waid continues to deliver the intrigue and mystery for this ‘Omegadrive’. Also, considering that most of the city knows who Daredevil is you’d think the goons would figure out a visual trick won’t work on him.

We don’t have Marcos Martin, or Javier Pulido, or even Emma Rios. We instead have Kano and while I don’t know a lot about him, I will say he definitely fits the tone of the series. This might be the case because of Javier Rodriguez colors which almost makes it almost indistinguishable from Emma Rios. I say ‘almost’ because there are a few little nitpicks that make it look amazing. Mainly that Black Cat goes from gorgeous to ‘Phyllis Diller’ a couple of times. That and his style does go from realistic to cartoon at the weirdest times. So with the rotating style changes aside it’s a good looking book.

While it’s nice to see this team up go for more, better issues, this was a solid two part story. Daredevil is a pimp, Spider-Man wasn’t annoying, and we have Phyllis Diller as Black Cat in this issue. Everything is here!
