Gillen has done a marvelous job filling in for JMS, and ultimately guiding this title to Matt Fraction’s hand. He had to deal with Thor’s exile, Loki being a troublemaker, and Dr. Doom. Not an easy thing to do for a guy just thrown into the series.

Overall this was a very enjoyable finale to an entertaining arc overall. Ironically with a big fight in this, this doesn’t have the same aura I felt with the previous two. Sure there is another line about Doom’s property. But for some reason it felt a bit predictable to get to the end. Let’s face it, Gillen has to get the Asgardians back to Oklahoma quickly….even though Seige has already started. Anyways, there was a good fight in this and a sign of things to come for Dr. Doom….that would be the case if Gillen stayed on this title.

Well now we come to the point of this series being a series of tie-in issues until Fraction takes over. If they stay as entertaining as these three issues have been, I’m down for the ride.
