So we're in part 47 of 80 with this Gog story and I gotta say....It is dragging my friends!

Don't get me wrong, I love this series and even if this arc is dragging a slow trail in the sand: it's still enjoyable. The story is soild all around and there are only some bad points with this issue. Basically two problems with the story:

A) How on Earth did Power Girl come back when she was desperate to find a way out in the beginning of the issue? (I'm sure we'll get the answer next issue)

B) Why are some of the JSA siding with Gog? I understand why Hawkman, Damage, and Magog is on his side; but why Judogirl, Amazing Man, and Wildcat III?

Other then then those two confusing points it was still a good issue. I like the new Starman and the discussion with Kingdom Come Superman and Magog was fun to read. Plus anything with Hawkman is just a delight because he is such a badass character when pissed off.

My biggest problem with this issue is the art. Now I like Eaglesham and he's been the artist for a while now on this series. But for some reason it just didnt click with me on this issue. Maybe it's actually the inking cause some of the colors are too muddy and the faces are really off. I mean look at the last panel on the first page with Power Girl and you'll see what I mean. Overall it's weak and I hope the art gets better in the next issue.

So yeah it was a fun issue as always, but the art kinda ruined the fun a little bit for me. Still it is one of the best DC books out there so I definitely recommend it. Oh and with Black Adam coming soon to the fray...This is gonna get better for sure.
