Humor is what this title is known for, but if this issue showed anything else….it can be a very good action book as well.

For the majority of this book we get a different view of the earth, one that is controlled by females. I like it that Van Lente/Pak didnt take the corny view of this angle and made this serious. Yes there are some nice jabs at making males the lesser race, and that joke about castrating men made me uncomfortable. But overall I like this new universe the writers introduced. It was fun seeing how Hercules is technically Iron Man, or how Amadeus Cho became the bitch of everyone…..oh wait, Cho is like that in the regular universe. Anyways this was a fun book and when we got everything back to status quo at the end; the humor made this book worthwhile.

It’s hard to think of new things to say for Incredible Herc. It has great writers on board and has some fo the best art around for a Marvel book. I just cant wait to see where this corporate gods angle takes us in the next couple of issues. But for now we got a pretty interesting origins issue coming up, and that could be the best jumping on point for new readers.
