Just a quick little take on this series. I know it’s a few week old so I won’t get too in depth with it.

The Good

-The interactions with Di Vinci and Newton were fantastic. Hickman does a great job with the tension and I can’t wait to see where this is gonna go with these two.

-The Celestial talking in this was amazing. Loved the choices (or use of the ‘/’) to give  Zhang Heng choices on what to think. That stuff is classic Hickman right there.

-The art by Weaver; Oh my god how gorgeous it was! That two page spread of Di Vinci going to the sun is some of the best pencils I’ve seen all year. That is Eisner worthy materla my friends.

The Bad

-Leonid. I’m sure Hickman has a plan for this character, but it is still puzzling why we’re focusing on him considering he hasn’t done ANYTHING in four issues.

Even with the slow pacing, release schedule (and also 2 week further wait for this for me); I am still enjoying this series. We still seem to have no idea what is the overall gameplan yet with this series. But I’m liking what Hickman has giving us so far with the Celestial Foetus, Nostradomus, and the great blend of fact/fiction within this universe. Can’t wait for me.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
