I’ll be short with this review.

This has been consistantly great for the last couple of months. Johns is able to write a complex origin for Hal, and still somehow make it all work in the end. All of the interactions with Sinestro and Hammond are great and all the irony within the converstations are just all over the place. There’s also just too much praise for Reis to go around, so a lot more will go with the next perfect issue. If this run doesn’t make Reis go onto even bigger books (like Action Comics maybe? Perfect fit after Frank is gone) when he leaves the title.

Just pick this and the back issues up. I’ll still get the hardcover when it comes out, but I dont mind carrying both issues and trade for this perfect arc.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. I have some Reis drawn Action Comics and his art was awesome on them but he was paired with Chuck Austen so I think people forgot it.
