Sticking the Landing: Ending an Event in the Age of Ultron
June 24, 2013 1:15 pm I found Age of Ultron pretty terrible. There were germs of interesting ideas that, if fleshed out, would have been WAY more satisfying than the finished product. (Alternate universes, Moon Knight and Black Widow, things getting sucked in and blown out of Earth 616).
I honestly feel that in the hands of better writers, Age of Ultron could have been at least an truly entertaining event, rather than an overall disappointing, unfinished, advertising stunt.
My 2 cents.

DEATHMATCH #6
June 3, 2013 2:21 pm I think you'll enjoy it in trade, but won't get the benefit of the suspense from readiing it issue to issue.

DEATHMATCH #6
June 3, 2013 7:15 am @BCDX97 AH! I didn't realize Jenkins wrote that Deadman story from DCU Presents. I actually liked that--by that I mean I kept those copies and traded back the rest of that series. I mean it wasn't great, but I thought I might read it again. I haven't got to read his Inhumans (waiting!) nor the Sentry.

EARTH 2 ANNUAL #1
June 2, 2013 8:11 pm Hey, I"m glad you find the reviews helpful. I sometimes do write longer reviews than this, but I try not to be too negative or too gushing because to each his own.
I have a bad feeling that Earth 2 is really going to hit the toilet over the next few issues. Shame.
FYI - I do recommend the following titles currently: Daredevil, Hawkeye, Indestructible Hulk, X-O Manowar, Al Star Western (especially the last 2 issues, awesome), Deathmatch, Planet of the Apes Cataclysm.
Issue #1 of the Wake was pretty good (for 2.99), if not a bit predictable. The art was really good.
