I really really enjoyed this. I never read Hellblazer so I don’t if he’s just riffing or outright lifting…

That said, Templesmith is the perfect artist choice. There’s NO way you’d want a Jim Lee or remotely “realistic” style on this.

I’ve never read much JMS so I can’t comment in the context of his other works, but I can say that this thoroughly enjoyable and told with the right amount of flashing back at the right time. Yes, there’s a LOT of story here but it’s executed really well.

I’m in for the next issue for sure.
