The “charm” of the last issue was in shorter supply this time, mainly because Superman felt a little too inserted.

Yes, Swampy was in Metropolis for the sole purpose of finding Supe and getting his counsel…still felt a tad clunky.

That said, there were some nice moments –although way too few, I mean, why couldn’t the whole issue have been a great dialogue between Swampy and Superman? The potential was there for it. Clearly Soule CAN write such a story. I would rather have seen that dynamic fleshed out.

Art: The inking was too heavy for my taste, and more than a couple of the panels felt very “loose.” Last ish the line work and inking etc was tight, clean.

I”m not jumping ship but I do hope the team can match issue #19 again soon.
