So…not a bad issue. But nothing really awesome, either.

Buddy’s “origin” as Animal Man was not all that cool or intriguing. He is given “lite” Red powers so he can protect his daughter once she is born. Ok.

We barely get to see Buddy get used to his powers. There was lots of potential there, but this is only one issue.

This 0 issue was clearly written to forward the current Arcane threat in Swamp Thing and Animal.

I just didn’t think it was better than “good.” I liked the art more than the story.
