I love the Unknown Soldier–historically. When Gray & Palmiotti revived him in Men of War and GI Combat, I really didn’t like their take on it too much.

Now, we get US as the new leader of the Suicide Squad…overall, this issue was a mess–especially, artistically.

It felt as if entire pages of plot and dialogue were hastily hacked out of the script.

The visual storytelling was bizarre in spots — the dialogue not really matching up with the art.

Who knows? Maybe editorial took a hatchet to the script…I mean, in the end, the entire story of this issue could have been accomplished in 4 pages.

It gets a 3/3 solely for concept.
