This is cool so far. It’s just different enough but still relying on familiar territory.

The character guide in the back and the huge 2 page spread Deathmatch tournament bracket was nice.

Also, the combat scenes are freakin’ brutal — but not like Aquaman spearing some dude in the back. Brutal because Magno makes you feel what you’re seeing. When Nephilim DESTROYS Electronikia I literally said out loud “Oh Sh*t.”

The Rat is a nice double entendre, because rather than being one (in the traitor sense), he figures out how to stab a light guard in the head with a screwdriver!

See, I’m telling you, this book doesn’t play around–but it’s not goofy.

I think Magno’s art is fantastic. He did a great job on the Planet of the Apes ongoing before this.
