You know that line from that “Thrift Shop” song?..

THIS IS F-ING AWE-SOME

yeah, that’s how I feel about this issue. I think it’s the single best issue yet. Why?

Chemistry, right amount of westernized violence, hilarious cracking dialogue, intriguing and interesting “villains.”

Booster Gold popping is…delightful. I know Johns had the two meet pre 52, but the way Gray & Palmiotti play the two is pitch perfect…not too hammy….not too buddy cop flick…

DC, please listen to me…THIS is the kind of story we want to see in All-Star Western. More please.

What makes it a 5/5 is the seamless transition into the backstory featuring our introduction to THE MASTER GUNFIGHTER.

Supernatural Western critters! Werewolves roaming the plains, vampires in need of staking.

Art in the feature and backup was evocative, kinetic, moody…seriously, this was ONE damn good issue of All Star Western.

You could even consider this issue a “jumping on point perfect for new readers.” that we see so often in solicits.

I really can’t think of a better introduction to an All Start Western firing on all cylinders. More now.
