Not a kid’s book. Arcudi & Case plunge us deeper into the body of Oxel…sweating, headaches, anger, drunk.

It’s pretty dark stuff. But terribly interesting to read. There is nothing else like this being published. It has a singular “voice” if you will.

My only gripe is the depiction of the apparently flamboyantly gay couple on the subway. From Cases’s art we instantly get that their gay. I don’t think we needed the stereotypical “Helloooooo!” language. Unnecessary and out of tone from the rest of the book.

Other wise a solid Very good on Story and Art. I’ll pick up isse #3.
