Waid has upped the ante in the last couple of issues. Simon’s art is perfect if not completely flawless.

Since they got to Jutenheim to steal some Frost Giant metal, the plot has thickened.

The scenes with Thor-Hulk are awesome. Waid has a perfect take on THIS Thor.

What I liked most about this issue was the way the plot suddenly has about 4 layers..

Cool moment: a Frost Giant reaches through the SHIELD time/space portal INTO the SHIELD facility–huge hand destroying everything a la King Kong.

Great issue–many threads left to be resolved.

And one last kudo to Simonson–as someone else noted, the art ain’t perfect (bit line-y, occasionally “wonky”) — but it’s so energetic, the compositions are interesting, the visual scale changes at the right time etc.

Strong 4/4.
