Man, this is good. This is begging to be turned into a TV show. It would be a really good TV hourly. Why?

Brian Wood has done a Tolkien: created a deeply textured universe with a complete timeline of the eco-disasters, a cast of damn interesting characters, and there are no preconceived expectations from the reader about what should happen…you can tell he’s been thinking about this for a long time and is determined to give us a complete picture.

This issue Callum and Arkady’s conversation/flashback was standout. The dialogue was perfect.

I think Gary Brown’s art is more appropriate than Donaldson’s. I like it more. I found Donaldson’s to be a bit shallow…lacked texture or depth.

Gripe: We find out the Callum is 50? 50 years old? That character did not look anything like 50 in the first 3 issues, not even close. More like 35ish.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent
