My favorite ish yet, I think. Venditti’s script was perfect. So much cool stuff happens…
The Vine *almost* kill Aric, but some pious Vine members save him because they believe-no matter what- that Aric is their savior, even if he’s laying waste to the Vine as a whole (unique relationship dynamic)…this sets up a interesting scenario for next issue when it looks like Aric will lead the “pious” Vine against the “We think Aric is an Abomination”Vine.
I can’t wait to read it.
Fave lines:
Aric: “Where is this God? I wish to have words with him.”
Priest: Do you not know? You are wearing it?
Dalgan: Many soldiers have given up on Shanhara. They doubt the prophecy will ever happen. You prove my ancestors death was not meaningless. I Pledge myself to you.
Slave: It bows…Who ARE you?
What a great issue, Nord on art was fantastic. Perfect facial expressions etc
X-O gets better and better.

Glad to see you’re liking this. I picked up the first two trades of this and plan on picking up a couple more, which would you recommend? I’m leaning towards Harbinger and Archer and Armstrong.
I’ve only read a few issues of Harbinger, and only the 1st ish of A&A , but I have heard ONLY good feedback from folks at the LCS — people who share similar tastes as my own. I need to give Shadowman another shot, as the first ish just didn’t grab me but it’s apparently very entertaining.
You can’t go wrong with Harbinger or A & A , and obviously X-O is tops with me.
Cheers, yeah I think I’ll try Archer and Armstrong and Harbinger. I can get both trades for about £11 on amazon so you can’t really go wrong.
