Perhaps it is unfair, but the comparison is inevitable in my mind. This is scarcely a glimmer of the wonderful…

This is likely the best issue of Aaron’s tenure on this title thus far. The story is beginning to make…

September 30, 2011 7:56 pm Huh. Had not really considered the books not being for new readers. I feel like the books are targeted very much at new readers. The overblown and gratuitous dialogue that explains everything is definitely for people who aren't experienced comic readers. They explain characters, places, events and drug you over the head. I have found it annoying and cumbersome to read and it would typically show a strong lack of trust in the artist, but is really showing a lack of trust in new readers.
September 30, 2011 7:29 pm I did not feel uncomfortable, but I felt the story was superfluous. The art is the only quality selling point for this book. Also, they think this is making it into the sequel movie?
September 30, 2011 6:39 pm I love Jim. Of all the folks who write here he shares my amused sense of curmudgeonry more than anyone. I just don’t understand why, or even how, a guy feels embarassed by women in their undies. I have seen that a million times in movies. I am pretty inured to images of this kind, as opposed to live women which are still copiously effective on my mental state. I have noticed a lot of guys taking an ' As shucks' standpoint and I cannot imagine so many of them are genuine. And, yea, I would read the book with my grandmother present. Love what you live and never be ashamed. Unless its children or animals in unsavory ways. Then be very, very, very ashamed. Very.
September 30, 2011 2:07 pm RE:Catwoman. Can we stop pretending to be ashamed of semi-nude women? Its juvenile. The book has plenty of problems but it sexy the, which they told you about beforehand, is not one of them. There is nothing in this book dirtier than you see in an edgy PG13 movie and definitely not worse than an R. What in society has happened to make grown men feel ashamed when a piece of mundane, normal entertainment hints at sex? Just laughable.
September 28, 2011 9:47 pm I wanna read this book... but Bachalo ssuuuuuuucks. I cannot abide his art.
September 28, 2011 9:37 pm Probably the prettiest book I read this week, but also bland and lifeless. Did not think this was anything special at all. Certainly did not touch me like Venom or have the sense of BIG that Ultimates did or have the pure, genuine soul of Ultimate Spiderman. You love what you love, but for my dollars this was not even a top 5 book this week.
September 27, 2011 6:31 pm Invincible > Ultimate Spiderman. Grifter is a fun character. A true anti-hero. If that isn't your thing... well, beware.
September 26, 2011 9:21 pm No good movies lately. I've been pretty unimpressed with this whole year in films.
September 26, 2011 12:55 am I also wish for the return of pants. I'd like to see her look a little more... warrior-ish. But, this is damn fine all in all.
