I read only a bit of Strangers in Paradise. It was well written enough and the characters were fair, if mostly unbelieveable given their extremist personas. Oh, we all know people like them… but I know no one as far removed as them. Alas, it was a relationship book. I have relationships, I don’t need too much  pretend drama in that department. Echo, however, I like greatly so far. The story here is developing well. I empathize with the lead already, but seems destiend to fail given the circumstances. The story does a good job portraying her confusion and her struggle to maintain a life. The super weapon sub-plot seems almost tangetal.

The art is classic Moore, with which I am friendly. Clean, crisp with good ability to express moods for his characters. The characters, so far, all have distinct looks and feel unique. That said, he lacks the ability to really energize me with his visuals. I feel like I’m reading a comic rather than experiencing a story in full.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 3 - Good
