If it were not for McGuiness' art, I'd have dropped this book already. The plot has alternated hokie and nonsensical at varying points. The dialogue is contrived and tedious. The characterizations lack any spark of life or believability. This issue's plot is Ares going to kill Banner to see if the Hulk is really gone. Half the issue is then spent with a fun fight scene that is expertly rendered by McGuness. Some buddy development stuff between Rick and Bruce wraps things up.

I give Loeb credit in his writing for one thing. He is developing an ensemble around the Hulk character that the the book desperately needs. The character has lived in a vacuum for far too long.
