This was the first issue of Loeb’s run that didn’t feel too over the
top cartoony, and because of that it was also the first issue that
didn’t feel that fun.

I’m not a huge fan of this run, but the other
issues at least had that turn your brain off and it’s fun aspect to
them.

This issue was just Emo Banner and the Ares Rick Jones fight. I’d
really like to see some more Rick Jones in regular Marvel universe,
since we really haven’t heard anything from him outside this book that
wasn’t Hulk since this series started.

McGuinness’s art was still as
solid as ever. This book is going to be greatly diminished with him gone.

I like nod to Byrne’s run in the dialog between Norman
and Ares. I think there’s a lot of parallels between Loeb and Byrne’s styles.

This issue wasn’t bad, but it felt like it was missing
something.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
