Pacheco and Vines are tearing the art in this book up. Their character designs provide an elegance and austerity that befits the deific subject matter. Sly hints can be wrested from the backdrop and scenery, but the use of the layouts controls the pace magnificently. In tandem with Hickman's writing , which you simply want to devour with utmost expediency, they force you to revel in certain moments. Overall, the team combines to create an excellent Thor story that is reminiscent of Fraction Ages of Thunder series of one-shots. Highly recommended for Thor fans and fans of excellent art.

The twist at the end with Loki was unforeseen, but exquisite in context of the now obvious foreshadowing. This is a fine example of mature, thoughtful comics that can be performed even when using old dogs such as Marvel's Thor mythos.
