A noble effort at making a huge tragedy seem meaningful in the comic book universe. Iron Man fights his way through Paris against the Grey Gargoyle kicked up a notch. While doing so, he smashes a bunch of Parisians into gravel. Fraction writes it too obviously and uses the subtlety of a sledgehammer on this topic.Let your art work for you.

Speaking of, perhaps Fraction didn’t trust Larocca in this issue as the artist sometimes struggles with facial acting. Celuuphiles often indicate that he is using pictures as reference and it makes his art look awkward. Not being a celebrity follower I cannot speak to that, but his art does look unfortunate at some points throughout the telling. However, when he is drawing theĀ Iron Man he is perfect for that role.
