This exquisitely drawn, by Terry Moore, issue of Fables is a transitional piece. Helping make a bridge from the second great epoch to the next stage of development in what could, conceivably, be a never-ending story. We get to look in on the fabled lands where infighting, petty warlords and mass murder seem to have become a way of life. A curious, and new, cast of characters are introduced as they, presumably, fight for supremacy over the scraps of the empire. Stealing Sleeping Beauty and, I think, the Snow Queen away from Mirant, who seems to be the leading candidate for rule, Lindworm uses a set of goblin ninjas who then resurrect him.
