This is the best book that isn't getting much chatter. Moore's art is renowned. It is lovely, sleek and fluid. For my money there is no one who draws a more beautiful woman that still looks like someone you could conceivably meet in your day to day life. His face and figure acting are both stellar as you would expect from a pro of more than 2 decades.
As the book winds down and secrets are revealed, you already miss the characters. When I read Julie/Annie I wish I could actually know them. Ivy is both petulant and brilliant. This issue, however, doesn't advance the plot, I felt it was rather the breath before the coup d'grace. Probably the last time we will get to just sit with these characters and enjoy them as people rather than as archetypes or action figures. I feel as though his storytelling is stronger in this series than in SiP for two reasons: first, he has more practice writing and second, he is telling a more focused story with a defined arc. Excellent comic book.
