Hell yea. Taht is my response to this issue. It may be premature to say that Gillen, alongside Remender, are ushering a new golden age of X but a boy can dream. This issue features high stakes and great personal drama from the two stars, Kitty and Colossus. A duel, a frenzied effort at salvation, a double cross. What more do you want in a single issue?

The art is quite good in this issue. Showing good dynamics in choice of shots, expressing the silent scenes with great acting from the players. The choice of color palette is particularly nice and casts a mood, bring a sense of pall to what should be a hot scene. A trick often used to bring a sense of requiem. Despite the frenzied pace of the action the art helps punch through the sense of doom hanging over the scene.
