With issue 2 this feels very light weight. What hurt it for me was how by the numbers this was,…

March 5, 2012 8:58 pm Good god. Alright. Not picking it up. I'm going to find some JSA trades, maybe reread Golden Age.
March 2, 2012 12:13 pm Far better design than the New 52 look with that silly looking armor, but what I could care less is that Earth 2 seems to focus on another variation of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. So us the Justice Society, Jay, Allen, Ted and the rest.
March 2, 2012 12:08 pm Wow, that Jay Garrick piece is perfect.
February 29, 2012 10:29 pm Wow. what a disapointment. Five issues of build up with them basically ending up pushing Darkseid into a boom tube. UGH. The only moment of pure delight was Wonder Woman plunging her sword in to Darkseid's eye socket. the rest was so pointless. Where was the dramatic drive to the stary? Where was the villian's motivation? In good storytelling the villian must be as complex as the hero(s), motivation creates conflict, conflict creates drama. What we got was 7 superheroes painted in broad strokes pushed through plot points. Darkseid did basically nothing but zap his beams at people. And that scene at the White House was lame, they were reduced to bicker behind the president's back. This book better improve.
February 28, 2012 1:52 pm Well I doubt it's Bruce Wayne, seeing that his daughter is running around as Huntress. They are playing up legacy with Earth 2 so it's Dick or a son, the son doesn't have to be named Daiman. But being a darker world concerns me, the New52 is a darker more violent world. I would have hoped that Earth 2 would contrast to what is already established, thus more opportunity for conflict. If you have a bunch of darker, more violent characters running around it ends up being more of the same. I'm losing interest in this 52. The Titans and Superman line of books do nothing for me, while Action was good to begin with it hasn't maintained the energy. Batman is pretty much the same book and character, so I'll stick with that. Green Lantern, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and maybe Flash. Justice League is so boring, so run of the mill, and Lee's art work seems rushed, huried. Some changes to character don't sit well with me too, like Green Arrow.
February 27, 2012 2:19 pm Well, at least it'll be over. Can't say that I've loved the first five. It seems more of a plot point based form of storytelling than really telling a story. 6 months in and DC's 52 can be a success in sales, but there have been failures in relaunching some of their creations.
January 20, 2012 4:09 pm God. Notto does great sketches, was is it that his comic work is bland. I just didn't care for his Jonah Hex.
January 19, 2012 12:07 pm I like it more with the color, simple and bold. I bet they needed to get it out there now so that a motion graphic is ready for Dark Knight Rises.
January 18, 2012 10:45 pm One of my favorite Wildcat stories was the episode from JLI, the one where Wildcat beats the crap out of Green Arrow. It captured both heroes perfectly.
January 18, 2012 10:39 pm Remember when DC use to mini series of characters that were not Batman related, yeah we have The Shade, but a Wildcat mini I'd buy. I'd buy a mini series of any of the JSA heroes, Jay, Allan or even Cater (ugh the new Hawkman sucks). One of the great books of the 90's was Sandman Mystery Theatre. Do Wildcat in that vein.
