With issue 2 this feels very light weight. What hurt it for me was how by the numbers this was, very much the usual heroes meet first, fight, then get their act together. Sure there was some nice character moments, but it wasn’t very original. Or ground breaking. I’ll stick with it, but I hope it improves in the next few issues.

As for the art, Jim Lee is good, though his very detailed look plays up how ugly the revamped outfits are. Good god Superman’s looks like shit.
