I don’t understand why people are being so hard on this comic. (Well, with an avg. ratingof 4.3, maybe the aren’t, maybe it’s just some vocal poster [who are of course welcome to their opinion.)

I think it’s just great. Jim Lee is a master comic book artist at the top of his game. Maybe some people are sick of him because the 90s were so… sickening… but this book is great to look at, the action is exciting, the dialogue is funny. It’s not new or deep or weird or indie – but then, it’s the JLA!

Yes, Batman isn’t a psycho paranoid who is almost as bad as his rivals, Superman isn’t a perfect god, Hal isn’t a fearless paragon of heroism, etc.: this is the genesis of their team up, and Supes will have time to learn patiences, Hal to get less cocky, Batman to get more grizzled. I feel free to let this book and these characters mature and develop.

Don’t know how Cyborg is going to fit into all this, but I look foward to it.
