I miss Robinson’s Starman. I hated his JLA. This is a nice return to form for him, and I think the JSA is in good hands.

Before Robinson The Shade was a gimmicky bad guy, one of the many which served as human punching bags to the good guys. Who gave a shit about him. Robinson did, and he gave him life. One of the best things about that Starman run was its supporting cast, the O’Dares, Grundy, Mikaal, David, the father and at the top of the list was The Shade.

Now The Shade takes center stage for the second time, and it also feels like another trip down memory lane much like last months Titans:Games. This maybe a new DCU but they still give us old timers gems like this to keep us happy.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
