Um, well I'm not a fan of Tony Daniel. I stop buying his version of Batman after the Arkham/Black Mask story about 2 years ago. So I wasn't expecting much. And, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, yes he was ripping of Miller for his story telling device, but it worked with the art. Yeah its not original, but it suited him. Plus his art has gotten better. Things are different, I don't see the flying Batmobile, Alfred is a hologram, and Arkham is back running Arkham, not one of the crazies. And that last page, oddly it left me cold. I didn't have a holey shit moment, or that was a chessy move. I think it was because how the book was laid out. I turned the page to continue reading but that splash page hits you first and becomes a spolier. I didn't care and I think after 40 some years of reading comics I know this will not last with the Joker. In a few months in another story his face will be back in place. They won't keep the Joker looking like DC's version of the Red Skull.
