  1. Great review. I was going to write one, but I can’t improve on this to explain my thoughts. There is nothing terrible about the book, it’s just it falls short of every other bat title in the new 52. It overlaps in all the wrong ways.

My rankings though Detective and Batman are 1 A and 1 B. Batman and Robin is 3rd and Dark Knight is 4.

    • When I read the page about the Arkham breakout, I hoped it was tying into Batman (I mean, Batman and B&R tie together and Batman and Nightwing might too, so it wasn’t outside the realm of possibility to think the editors were keeping things really tight here). But it slowly devolved into just another book about pretty pictures with not much substance. I don’t know who uses Twoface worse, Finch here or Daniel in his last arc on Batman. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. I will say I think this was probably slightly better than Detective #1. If only because no one came away from this issue thinking Alfred was a hologram (which I guess I can see where people were coming from, but I never read it that way). Plus, no naked Joker.
And I agree, every attempt at creating a new love interest for Bruce Wayne makes my eyes roll more than the last.
