This would have been my pick of the week if not for Parker.

As much as I love Morrison’s Batman run I felt that R.I.P was disjointed, that the art work, while nice wasn’t helping in telling the story. It was in my opinion pin up art. But I hung in. I felt that Morrison was going to make sense of all this.

Well he has in his Batman and Robin title, and now we get Batman #701. And I must say Tony Daniel’s art has much improved since he took over the title from Kubert. He has grown as a story teller. There’s a nice pace to it all.

With R.I.P I thought it was just a decent story, but if this were to be included in future trade editions of that it would live up to the hype it tried to obtain.
