Damn. When was the last time an Aquaman title was good, or even fun to read? Years.

Because of Superfriends I have a fondness for the character, I’ve even got a few of those Aquaman issues from the 60’s with those great Nick Cardy covers. This gave me the Aquaman I remember, noble and not angry, it was a nice change and frankly I was getting tired of angry heroes.

Johns moved things along nicely, giving us just enough to be satisfied and to come back next month. Though the idea of people thinking Aquaman was a joke wore thin. It might be best to drop that humor next issue.
