I bought this only as a curiosity, I loved Gail Simone’s run on Birds of Prey, she knows Barbara Gordon. But how will they explain that she now walks? They don’t. But you get the sense they will talk more of this “miracle” later. What I got was that she might not even have been Oracle, they seem not to talk of it, in fact Barbara now has to have a roommate to help pay rent. Its odd not seeing Barbara at her computer, or even use it to do her crime fighting.

While Batman seems to be unchanged except her that lousy new look, Batgirl seems rebooted. I wonder how this will all fit when Morrison returns to finish off Batman inc’s storyline. But how was the story? It was fine, better than Green Arrow. I could see sticking with the book mostly because I can feel Simone’s passion for this character, and it could build into something nice. But the art wasn’t that great, lot of problems with the anatomy and very stiff, very heavy handed.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 2 - Average
