I’m a little disappointed in Simone’s Batgirl. It was good, not bad nor great, just good. I’m definitely sticking around for the next issue because I feel like this was going to be rough no matter what. She had to follow up the Miller’s Batgirl run and then transition Babs back into the costume. A tall order and Simone handled it well. This story is something that needs multiple issues to unravel and to just unloading everything in the first would have been disastrous. Not sure how it will all play out but I have to believe that Simone values Babs too much as a character to do anything awful. I’ll hold judgement till the arc is over.

  1. I agree with the art being a 3, but for me I would give the story a 1.5 or 2.
