I liked it. A good beginning. Well-written. The art served the story, but it didn't wow me. If the rating scale allowed 1/2 points, I would've given the art 3.5. If it allowed 1/4 points, I would've given the story 4.25. All-in-all, a solid 3.75. Maybe even a three-and-seven-eighths. Somewhere in the "not quite a four" range. Better than Good. Almost Very Good. More than Pretty Good. I guess I'd call it Really Good. Looking forward to more, and seeing how some of the hints dropped and things alluded to will be played out. I like that it ended on a "make the hero hurt" kind of beat. A good read.
